winter quarter internship choices

if i work at the koreatown youth and community center, i will get to tutor kids, maybe accompany the admins to meetings with city govt about the GRYD program, and learn a lot about program analysis/at-risk youth and family issues. their office takes about an hour to get to by bus.

L.A. Works said they’d like me to work with them on homelessness and poverty - which i would love learn more about. with them I’d be in charge of my own projects, organizing volunteers and other resources for the nonprofits that need them. i’d get to research homeless and low-income options available (or, more likely, not available) in our lovely city, homeless capital of the nation, but their office is two hours away by bus.
